The Role at a Glance

We are excited to onboard a MuleSoft Developer to our Wholesaler Experience team.  

Background Details: 

Lincoln’s IT organization is seeking a Sr. MuleSoft Developer to help build and enhance integration solutions that support Lincoln’s Distribution and Marketing Technology organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has fully embraced agile methodology and DevOps practices. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the development of APIs and microservices that connect Salesforce, AWS, and other enterprise systems. 

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand integration requirements. 
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy MuleSoft integrations and APIs using the Anypoint Platform. 
  • Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable integration solutions that connect Salesforce, AWS, and other enterprise systems. 
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to create and iterate on proofs of concept. 
  • Maintain and update technical documentation related to MuleSoft integrations. 
  • Stay current with MuleSoft platform features and industry trends through ongoing learning and certification. 
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within tight deadlines. 
  • Communicate effectively with team members and business partners to meet delivery objectives. 
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to team collaboration and velocity.  

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:  

  • 7+ years of professional experience developing integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including MuleSoft Runtime, Anypoint Studio, and Anypoint Exchange 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of degree) 
  • Proficiency in Java development and familiarity with other programming languages 
  • Strong understanding of API design principles and RESTful web services 
  • Experience with integration patterns, message queues (e.g., IBM MQ, Amazon SQS), and asynchronous processing 
  • Proficiency with DataWeave for data transformation 
  • Experience with MUnit for automated testing of Mule applications 
  • Ability to create and interpret UML diagrams for system design and documentation 
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices 
  • Proven experience integrating with platforms such as Salesforce and AWS 
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (at least one required) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Experience working within agile teams and participating in agile ceremonies  

Nice-to haves: 

  • Development or architectural experience within the Salesforce Platform 
  • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Salesforce Data Cloud 
  • Experience within the Financial Service industry 
  • Salesforce and/or AWS Certifications 
  • Experience deploying Mule applications to CloudHub or Runtime Fabric 
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft Accelerators for Financial Services 
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture or microservices design 
  • Knowledge of OAuth, SAML, JWT for secure integrations
