PositionPurpose

To oversee the production, maintenance, compliance, and quality assurance functions of our new facility in Reidsville, NC. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented leadership role requiring strong manufacturing engineering acumen . The Plant Manager will lead all manufacturing processes to ensure full alignment with company objectives, food safety systems, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of complex manufacturing systems and a drive for continuous improvement.

Requirements

· 15+ years of Plant Manager experience in a $200M+ 24/7 manufacturing environment (REQUIRED)

· Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering , with proven experience in optimizing mechanical, process, and production systems (Preferred)

· New Plant Start-up Experience (Preferred)

· ISO 22000:2018 Certification (Preferred)

· Engineering Degree (Preferred)

· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other software (REQUIRED)

· Experience with raw material handling and formulation (Preferred)

· Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail (REQUIRED)

· Strong safety and regulatory compliance background (REQUIRED)

· Expertise in scheduling, procurement, costing, and financial management (REQUIRED)

· Experience in Just-in-Time or Make-to-Order environments (REQUIRED)

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset (REQUIRED)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire plant operations, from receiving raw materials to production and quality control of finished pet food.
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet production targets and ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor and optimize production processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage and train plant personnel, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, quality assurance, and maintenance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the food and beverage industry.
  • Implements a personnel management policy that ensures the planned development of the company's resources and an adequate level of motivation and incentives, as well as the pursuit of results in accordance with the needs of the company.
  • Establishes the Company's policy and strategy in the field of communications, human resources management, protection, and security.
  • Make proposals to the CEO of N. America regarding the development of the business.
  • Ensure that the Company benefits maximally from its investments.
  • Oversees the management of the overall quality system and comparison activities with the best performance of other similar realities.
  • Coordinates the Company's activities in the field of goods and services, achieving the goal of improving contractual conditions.
  • Performs reporting to the group regarding the analysis of the economic and management results of the factory for which it is responsible.
  • Member of the food safety team.
  • Shows commitment to the implementation and development of FSMS.
  • Develops organizational culture by raising awareness of FSMS.
  • Integrates the requirements of FSMS into the business processes of the organization.
  • Participates in the development of employee competencies.
  • Participates in risk prevention, nonconformity management and risk analysis.
