About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Billing Specialist to join our team onsite full-time. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of complex customer invoices in accordance with service contract terms and statutory requirements. If you're experienced in customer billing, thrive in a service-based industry, and have strong Excel and analytical skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Prepare and enter monthly billing adjustments, ensuring all required approvals are obtained.
🔹 Research and resolve both routine and complex billing discrepancies, applying the appropriate adjustment codes.
🔹 Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, following up with internal teams or customers to resolve issues.
🔹 Generate manual billings for non-standard or complex contractual arrangements.
🔹 Summarize supplemental billing data to meet customer requirements.
🔹 Review billing system reports to identify and correct discrepancies.
🔹 Post case receipts and payments to customer accounts; research and resolve misapplied payments.
🔹 Assist customers with credit card and recurring payments over the phone.
🔹 Complete customer setup within the billing system(s).
🔹 Provide training or support to junior or peer-level team members as needed.
🔹 Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
✅ Minimum 18 months of relevant billing experience, ideally in a service-based industry
✅ High school diploma or GED
✅ Strong understanding of billing systems and processes
✅ Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
✅ Excellent math skills and attention to detail
✅ Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both internal stakeholders and customers
✅ Initiative to research and resolve non-standard billing situations independently
✅ Ability to consistently follow standard operating procedures
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite , so candidates must be able and willing to work at our physical office location during standard business hours.
