We have a great team with a sense of humor and strong work ethic, and are looking for the right person to join us as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal with a Family Law team.
• Three or more years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally with some experience in Family Law (Domestic Relations)
• Thoroughness in work; excellent attention to detail and follow through is required for success
• Willingness to do anything, no job below them (i.e. filing, electronic filing, reviewing correspondence carefully, calendaring)
• A propensity for electronic communication and electronic document management
• An ability to prioritize and juggle multiple, concurrent matters and activities while maintaining a calm presence
• An ability to work well and communicate with different types of people, both internally and externally (clients, staff, and attorneys)
• Willingness to take on tough assignments and be resourceful
• A highly organized working process, attentiveness to detail, be thorough in work activities, yet process information quickly
• An ability and experience keeping their attorney(s) organized, including docketing, drafting, etc.
• Technology experience – Microsoft Suite, Law firm software a plus (ProLaw)
• Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification is preferred
