Job Description

Grading Foreman : We are a 30-year-old company based in San Diego, providing consulting, general engineering construction services and we also self-perform earthwork & grading. Compensation will be commensurate with skill and experience. This is a steady and long-term employment opportunity, with opportunity for advancement.

Qualifications:

• Five or more years of experience as a Foreman running mass grading projects.
• Must have experience with GPS and grade checking skills.
• Must understand equipment implementation and production rates.
• Must have a strong knowledge of the construction process, including means & methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills, as well as an attention to detail.
• Highly skilled at interpreting plans, soils reports and other types of construction documents.
• Average or better computer skills.
• Must have excellent documentation skills.
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Interface and coordinate with Project Manager, Superintendent, Subcontractors, Inspectors and Field Technicians.
• Efficiently manage crews and equipment, while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Meet schedule objectives and promptly report potential impacts or delays.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications, and other construction documents.
