Join Lahlouh, a leading player in the print and manufacturing industry, renowned for quality and innovation. We're seeking a dynamic leader to oversee our Assembly Department at our Burlingame CA facility.

Position Summary:

As the Assembly Department Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to ensure seamless operations, uphold quality standards, and drive productivity. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our $5M P/L, fostering a culture of excellence, and achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members to integrate seamlessly into operations.
  • Define roles and responsibilities, empowering Lead Operators to excel in job setups, material requisitions, and process documentation.
  • Mentor and develop team members, aligning their efforts with departmental objectives.

Production Oversight and Scheduling:

  • Manage Assembly Capacity Plans, optimizing production timelines and resource allocation.
  • Monitor Daily and Weekly Job Boards to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
  • Implement Daily Production Plans, overseeing personnel assignments, progress monitoring, and issue resolution.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between the Assembly Department and cross-functional teams, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
  • Provide timely updates on job statuses, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation through existing systems, preparing for transitions to new platforms like Veracore.

Operational Excellence and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct time studies and develop assembly procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to company systems and procedures, including Data Collection, Safety Compliance, and Quality Control Documents.
  • Drive quality assurance initiatives, overseeing QA processes and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Lean Practices and Safety:

  • Champion 5S and LEAN methodologies to optimize workplace safety and efficiency.
  • Educate and enforce safety standards, ensuring a secure working environment for all personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years in manufacturing, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in print or print converting industries highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ERP system knowledge advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
