Job Title: Vice President, Market Research Sales (Financial Services)

Location: Remote EST

Compensation: commensurate with experience

A data and insights firm serving the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Vice President of Market Research Sales to drive new business growth. This role focuses on selling a key market intelligence solution to senior executives at major financial institutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and self-source new enterprise opportunities in the financial services space.
  • Engage decision-makers through targeted outreach and relationship-building efforts.
  • Work with marketing on lead generation and follow-up.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle, including discovery, proposal development, and negotiation.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets by clearly articulating product value to stakeholders.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools.
  • Understand and communicate the solution's features, benefits, and market positioning.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and customer needs to support consultative selling.
  • Build strong relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solutions and proposals.
  • Provide market feedback to product and research teams to support continuous improvement.
  • Partner with marketing to develop campaigns and sales materials.
  • Maintain CRM records and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Follow internal processes related to contracts and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 5–15 years of enterprise sales experience, preferably in financial services or related technology solutions.
  • Proven success in self-sourcing, consultative selling, and navigating complex enterprise sales.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services sectors such as banking, payments, fintech, or insurance REQUIRED
  • Skilled in communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentations.
  • Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and data-driven sales methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed in the NYC Metro area.
