Job Description

Our client, a personal injury law firm, is seeking a trial paralegal to assist their legal team in New York, NY.  The ideal candidate has experience handling confidential information, including medical records, and must be able to communicate effectively with multiple parties – such as attorneys, doctors, witnesses, and clients. 

• Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000

Responsibilities:

• Review complete discovery and draft supplemental exchanges when new information or records arise
• Draft supplemental trial exchanges, medical exchanges, and related trial documentation
• Review client medical records and ensure all records are current and uploaded into the case management system
• Prepare trial binders, organizing exhibits chronologically
• Coordinate with physicians and expert witnesses regarding trial availability
• Request MRI CDs and other radiological materials needed for trial
• Prepare cases for trial; draft trial authorizations, 3120/3122 demands, subpoenas, 3101(d) expert disclosures, 4532-a documents, and other trial-related filings
• Provide case updates to attorneys and clients as needed
• Schedule clients for follow-up medical appointments and obtain required reports
• Draft correspondence to third parties to support legal requests or resolve issues

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Studies certificate, or equivalent legal training

• 3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in trial-focused or personal injury practice

• Understanding of medical terminology relevant to personal injury or civil litigation

• Proficiency with case management systems and document management software

• Ability to handle high-volume caseloads independently

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for drafting correspondence and updating attorneys/clients
