Overview:

We are searching for a special talent with a passion for sports, marketing, social media & communications to lead our wealth management firm & financial literacy program marketing efforts. Our firm specializes in serving collegiate & professional athletes and coaches and extends to our Secure The Bag financial literacy program that works with NFL, NBA and collegiate athletic teams.

Occident Wealth Management firm provides tailored financial solutions to athletes and coaches. We are committed to empowering our clients with financial literacy through our national Secure The Bag (STB) financial literacy program, which delivers interactive and engaging presentations to over 20 collegiate and NFL & NBA teams.

Position Summary:

The Marketing, Public Relations, and social media manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing, PR, and social media strategies. This role will enhance our brand presence through partnerships, manage media outreach, and engage with our target audience across various platforms. And manage Secure The Bag financial literacy podcast which stars collegiate and professional athletes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and implementation of marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and client engagement.

• Overseeing public relations to raise brand awareness and create media opportunities.

• Managing social media channels to ensure consistent and engaging content.

• Coordinating with internal teams and external partners to create compelling marketing campaigns.

• Building and nurturing relationships with professional athletes, coaches, and potential brand partners.

• Monitoring and analyzing marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies.

• Supervising and collaboration with freelancers on content creation and financial literacy presentation

• Manage athlete prospects/brand ambassadors generated from financial literacy events

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in marketing, public relations, and social media management, preferably within the sports industry.

• Strong understanding of the collegiate and professional athletics landscape.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing and PR campaigns.

• Proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing, PR, and social media strategies aligned with business goals.

• Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content across all channels.

• Manage media relations and public image through strategic PR efforts.

• Coordinate marketing activities with the financial literacy program for NFL, college football, and NBA teams.

• Foster relationships with athletes, coaches, and brand partners to enhance marketing efforts.

• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

• Ensure all marketing materials and communications align with brand guidelines and messaging.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team to achieve departmental goals.
