Sourcing - Product Development Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Sourcing & Product Development Manager to lead the end-to-end process of bringing high-quality, innovative products to market. This role is ideal for someone with experience in beauty or consumer goods who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong project management skills are essential to successfully drive timelines, cost targets, and cross-functional execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full product development lifecycle – from concept, formulation, and sampling through to final production and delivery.
Source and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers to meet pricing, quality, innovation, and sustainability goals.
Create and maintain product specifications, BOMs, packaging requirements, and cost sheets.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal marketing, creative, manufacturing, and operations teams to align on launch readiness.
Develop and manage detailed project timelines; ensure all cross-functional milestones are met on time and within budget.
Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and compliance standards.
Works well under pression
Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manager and develops alternative solutions.
Stay ahead of market trends, ingredients, raw materials, and packaging innovations—especially within the beauty/skincare industry.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in sourcing and product development; beauty/skincare/cosmetics experience a strong plus but not required.
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with a solutions-focused mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with global suppliers and understanding of costs, import/export logistics.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills for internal and external partners to respond to questions from suppliers, management and cross-functional team members.
