Job Title: Heavy Civil/Site Project Manager

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Overview:

We’re seeking a driven and experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead large-scale civil construction projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for infrastructure development, and enjoys taking full ownership of a project's financial and operational success. You will oversee all aspects of site development, public works, and water resource construction with a focus on safety, profitability, and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project execution including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout
  • Manage site development, underground utilities, grading, and public works infrastructure projects
  • Supervise and motivate project teams to meet deadlines and achieve financial goals
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee job cost forecasting, contract compliance, change orders, and billing accuracy
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and field personnel to support seamless operations
  • Conduct regular site visits and ensure all safety standards are being followed

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
  • Proven track record managing self-perform crews in civil site work, utilities, and roadways
  • Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing project P&L
  • Proficiency with industry software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams

Travel/Work Location:

  • Based in Jacksonville, FL
  • Office-based with regular travel to local job sites (~1–2 site visits per week)
