Job Title: Sr. Technical Project Manager

Location: Plano, Texas, United States

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate a team of infrastructure platform project managers. This role demands strong technical acumen, exceptional cross-team collaboration skills, and deep experience with JIRA to drive delivery excellence across complex, multi-stream infrastructure initiatives.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business priorities, while maintaining a high level of transparency, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Delivery Management
  • Lead, mentor, and support infrastructure platform project managers, ensuring consistent delivery practices and quality standards.
  • Drive delivery excellence across multiple concurrent projects with interdependencies.
  • Act as escalation point and trusted advisor to app dev teams for issues, project risks, blockers, and cross-team conflicts.
  • Technical & Process Oversight
  • Understand and guide discussions on infrastructure technologies (primarily AWS cloud including networking, compute, storage, monitoring, automation, and security).
  • Collaborate with architecture, Information security, engineering, and operations teams including support groups to ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Champion and implement best practices in agile, and DevOps-aligned delivery.
  • JIRA & Delivery Tooling
  • Own and optimize JIRA workflows, dashboards, reporting, and automation for tracking project progress, dependencies, and risks.
  • Provide actionable delivery insights to leadership using JIRA data and metrics.
  • Train and guide team members in effective JIRA usage for project management.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to align priorities and resolve delivery challenges.
  • Facilitate clear, timely communication across teams to ensure alignment on objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Drive coordination between global teams and time zones for seamless execution.

Qualifications & Experience

Required :

  • 10+ years of IT service delivery, program management, or infrastructure project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure platforms (AWS, networking, storage, monitoring, automation).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and application development.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments
  • Expert-level JIRA skills — including workflow customization, automation rules, advanced queries (JQL), and dashboard/report creation.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex, multi-team technical projects.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed, and global organizations.
  • Prior experience in platform engineering or infrastructure operations would be desirable.

  • A competitive pay range of $110,000 to $125,000 (depending on experience).
  • Position Location: Plano, TX
  • 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • 8 paid holidays per year + 1 floating holiday.
