We are seeking a fast learning, results oriented Senior Software Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to assist in developing custom desktop ERP software systems for the company's glulam or mill business. This position will work closely with our Senior Software Architect in the gathering of requirements and development of frontend and backend software related to product sales, manufacturing, inventory, shipping, and invoicing. The successful candidate will have a passion for creating consistent, stable, and easy to use software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom desktop software using DevExpress WinForms Microsoft Office-inspired UI components to create rich user interfaces.
- Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment, as well as support and maintenance.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring high levels of performance.
- Write efficient T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application and reporting needs.
- Assist in development and support access to a central data warehouse.
- Design and enhance custom reports, business forms, charts, and graphs.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of current experience with C# and Visual Studio required.
- 5+ years of recent experience developing desktop applications using robust control libraries such as DevExpress or Telerik.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and business objects required.
- Solid proficiency in SQL and database management concepts, focused on MSSQL.
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Willingness to sometimes work outside of normal business hours
Preferences:
- Background working in a manufacturing or mill business environment.
- Understanding of basic business and accounting methods.
Full-time, day shift but some work may be required outside of normal business hours.
