Senior Data Analyst – Customer Segmentation

Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid - 4 days on-site)

Rockwoods is partnering with a leading client in Tysons Corner, VA , to find a talented Senior Data Analyst specializing in Customer Segmentation . This is a fantastic hybrid opportunity requiring 4 days on-site per week. Please note: In-person interviews are required, and we are prioritizing local candidates (Virginia) or those willing to relocate for this on-site role.

Do you thrive on turning raw data into powerful customer insights? Our client is looking for a skilled Analyst to spearhead the development and refinement of their customer segmentation strategies. Successful candidates must have prior experience in the banking or finance sector and demonstrate proficiency in SQL and Snowflake

What You'll Do:

• Develop & Enhance Segmentation Models: Design, build, and optimize data-driven segmentation models based on customer behaviors, demographics, and product usage patterns.
• Derive Actionable Insights: Analyze segment-specific trends, identify opportunities, and deliver clear recommendations to enhance product strategies and customer engagement.
• Visualize & Report Performance: Create and maintain dynamic dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to monitor key metrics for deposits, including balances, attrition, and churn, broken down by customer segment.
• Collaborate for Impact: Partner closely with product and marketing teams to define segmentation logic for targeted campaigns, promotional fulfillment, and impactful business initiatives.
• Support Business Intelligence: Contribute to essential BI reporting, including LAM reports, stable deposit analysis, and performance dashboards for email and direct mail campaigns.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience: 3-5 years of data analysis experience in the US, with a strong preference for a background in banking or financial services.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI preferred).
• Core Competencies:
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
