The Role :

Lead the technical design, develop, and fine-tune the CIW Estimation Agent’s core intelligence using RAG, LLM reasoning, and Azure AI integration to improve accuracy, explainability, and reliability of project estimations.

You Will :
  • You will lead Lead day-to-day technical delivery across pods: data pipelines, ML services, LLM/RAG and agentic applications. 
  • Pair with engineers to design, code, debug, and review PRs; remove blockers quickly and pragmatically.
  • Partner with the PM on ceremonies and timelines while you own scope control, technical decisions, and release readiness.
  • Define and enforce an AI-aware Definition of Done (DoD) that covers code, data, and models: unit/integration tests, data-quality checks, model evaluation & safety/bias gates, deterministic structured outputs, latency/throughput & cost SLOs, and rollback plans.
  • Build, test, and optimize LLM-driven estimation logic.
  • Integrate models via LangChain and Azure OpenAI APIs.
  • Calibrate model responses against SME benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with DevOps for deployment and monitoring.
  • Document model behavior, performance, and improvement cycles.
Who You Are :
  • You are a seasoned AI professional skilled in applied LLM design. 
  • 8+ years in data/ML/AI engineering with hands-on delivery in consulting or product teams.
  • 3- 5 + years leading engineers technically (tech lead, lead engineer, or similar) on shipped projects.
  • Expert in Python, LangChain, OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, embeddings, and retrieval.
  • Data & orchestration: data transformation, feature stores, SQL modelling, Airflow/Prefect (or similar), CI for data. Experience with vector databases and hybrid/graph retrieval; embedding pipelines.
  • ML/LLM app dev: model training/fine-tuning basics; LLM/RAG app patterns (retrieval, prompt/version management, evaluators); Agent Ops concepts (tools/functions, planners, memory/state, multi-agent patterns).
  • Quality & governance: testing (unit/integration), data contracts, PII handling, lineage, safety/bias considerations for AI systems. Exposure to evaluation frameworks (e.g., task success scoring, guardrail tooling) and human-in-the-loop review.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with retrieval pipelines (ElasticSearch, Weaviate), enterprise chatbot UX design, MLOps.
