📍 Location: Roxborough, PA (On-site – Philadelphia Headquarters)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen our Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs at our Roxborough, PA facility. The ideal candidate has experience in plant safety compliance, training, and OSHA regulations, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This position plays a key role in ensuring the safety of over 500 employees by maintaining a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and risk reduction. Bilingual candidates and those with experience in industrial or large manufacturing settings are encouraged to apply.

🔧 Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update plant safety and environmental programs (HazCom, LOTO, PPE, ERP, confined space, bloodborne pathogens, etc.).
  • Facilitate Safety Committee meetings: set agendas, track attendance, record meeting minutes, and follow up on action items via work orders.
  • Conduct and document periodic safety audits and inspections for both the plant and distribution center.
  • Deliver safety training and onboarding, including weekly safety huddles, new hire orientation, and annual training.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; ensure corrective actions are tracked and resolved.
  • Maintain and update OSHA-compliant documentation and training records.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure seamless communication and incident reporting.
  • Perform ergonomic assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and recommend risk-reducing improvements.
  • Ensure timely inspection and compliance of safety equipment (AEDs, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, respirators, hoists, ladders, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure safety-related work orders are completed.
  • Maintain current labor law postings and administer facility drug screening as needed.

🎓 Requirements & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of safety or EHS experience (required).
  • Knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards is required.
  • Manufacturing experience and exposure to environments with 500+ employees is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or a related field preferred (may be substituted with experience).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Programs (RMP) and Process Safety Management (PSM) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Industrial Lift Truck operation (certification preferred but not required).
