Retail Associate - Part-Time Position

Are you passionate about luxury retail and have a proven track record of building meaningful client relationships? This Luxury Retailer, one of the world's most prestigious luxury brands, is seeking experienced Retail Associates to join our team.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for professionals who understand the art of clienteling and have already established a book of business in the luxury retail space. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in developing and nurturing client relationships, with demonstrated success in converting one-time shoppers into loyal clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional personalized service to clients, both walk-ins and by appointment
  • Actively build and maintain your client portfolio through strategic outreach and follow-up
  • Effectively manage your time between appointments and walk-in clients
  • Capture client data and create memorable first impressions for new clients
  • Secure and develop long-term client relationships through thoughtful follow-up
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals through clienteling excellence
  • Contribute to the overall store atmosphere of luxury and exclusivity

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in luxury retail sales with established clientele
  • Demonstrated ability to generate annual sales of $1 million or more (ideally $1.5-3 million)
  • Experience managing client appointments and developing relationships outside of walk-in traffic
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Sophisticated communication style and polished professional presence
  • Passion for the luxury industry and Luxury Retailer heritage

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $28-31/hr (higher rate for candidates with substantial existing client books)
  • Commission structure (details to be shared during interview process)
  • Comprehensive part-time benefits package

Training & Onboarding

Successful candidates must attend a mandatory 2-week onboarding program in New York City:

  • First week in Brooklyn
  • Third week in NYC
  • Monday and Friday are travel days; training Tuesday-Thursday
  • All expenses covered (flights, hotel, meals)
  • Fully paid training program

Schedule

Part-time position including Saturdays, Sundays, and one weekday.

  1. Initial virtual screening with Adecco
  2. Phone interview with Luxury Retailer team
  3. Behavioral assessment
  4. In-person interview with Luxury Retailer team
  5. Offer extended to successful candidates
