Remote Video Interpretation (VRI)

WHO WE ARE: Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is the largest local interpretation & translation business in Columbus providing interpreters and translators locally and nation-wide. Our main office is located in Downtown Columbus.

As a remote video and telephone interpreter, you'll use your language skills to assist others during medical, social service and other types of appointments. Interpreting with Access is a great way to earn money from the comfort of your home. The more assignments you take, the more you can earn. It's perfect for those looking for a flexible schedule with good pay. Using your unique bilingual skills to help those in need who speak the language or dialect you speak is very rewarding.

What you need to know:

• Your bilingual skills are in high demand!
• As a contractor, you decide your own schedule!
• Assignments are available 24/7/365! (Most assignments are requested during business hours.)
• Take as many or as few of our available assignments as you can!

Requirements

All applicants must:

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (at no cost to you).
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
• (Previous professional experience providing remote video interpretation services is preferred but is not required.)
