Insight Global is searching for a Remote GIS Technician to join our client in the telecommunications industry. This individual will be required to work during Alaskan Standard Time Zone 8:00-5:00pm. They will be responsible for utilizing GIS software to create, update, and maintain spatial data related to address points for co-axial fiber, node boundaries, and FTTH projects. Collaboration with the OSP Design team will be essential for mapping of telecommunications infrastructure. This role will perform spatial analysis and data validation to meet project requirements, generating maps and reports that assist in the planning and design of telecommunications networks. This individual will also work closely with government services to refresh permits, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained and up-to-date.

Skills and Requirements

  • 4-6 years of GIS Technician experience

  • 4+ years with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcMap, ArcCatalog,ArcInfo, GeoDatabase, Google Earth

  • Telecommunications experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite

  • Willing to work remotely in Alaskan Standard Time Zone
