Job Description

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives and support operational excellence across its facilities. This role is responsible for implementing process optimization strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and applying Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals and operational strategy.
  • Provide teams with the tools, training, and support needed to execute improvement projects successfully.
  • Guide team members in the practical application of Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities based on business needs and performance data.
  • Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Foster open communication across departments to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports, analyses, and project documentation.
  • Optimize the use of personnel and resources to maximize productivity.
  • Encourage a culture of ownership and accountability among team members.
  • Promote teamwork and integrate team-based approaches into daily operations and project execution.
  • Travel up to 15% may be required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or process improvement role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data, business publications, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Proficient in writing technical reports, procedures, and business correspondence.
  • Skilled in presenting information to diverse audiences including leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced understanding of statistical analysis, including variance analysis, sampling theory, and reliability testing.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma principles, including control charts, root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, and process capability.
  • Must be able to achieve Six Sigma certification (if not already certified).

Additional Skills:

  • Mentor junior team members and support internal training initiatives.
  • Lead or assist in Six Sigma training sessions.
  • Effectively manage and resolve team conflicts.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Work may involve exposure to mechanical equipment, elevated workspaces, dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, and noise.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE when required.
