Legal & Compliance Analyst – Customs & Manufacturing

The Team is currently seeking a Legal & Compliance Analyst to work from our Oskaloosa office. This position will focus on ensuring compliance with relevant US and international regulatory frameworks in our major markets. You will provide primary compliance support to our manufacturing teams, including those involved in import, export and third-party oversight activities. In this role you will track regulatory developments, advise on compliance related issues, and collaboratively enhance compliance processes. What you will do as a Legal & Compliance Analyst:

  • Analyze regulatory and legal requirements in primary markets.
  • Actively monitor for legal, regulatory and political changes.
  • Assess impact of new or changed legal and regulatory standards, actively communicating potential impacts with business leaders.
  • Provide timely and accurate compliance consulting to business partners on a variety of regulatory topics.
  • Act as a primary liaison to manufacturing services, sales coordinators, logistics and finance teams.
  • Work alongside other stakeholders to address compliance system weaknesses whenever identified.
  • Enhance global framework to ensure consistent standards across markets.
  • Execute the development, implementation and periodic assessment of procedures, policies and practices.
  • Provide expertise and support during import, export and customs related regulatory audits.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of business goals and priorities to anticipate business impacts from regulatory changes.
  • Provide legal/compliance support in establishing new service provider relationships and management of current relationships.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Legal, International Trade, Compliance or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in Compliance, Legal or international trade related field.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and direct experience with global compliance program management.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing industry best practices related to import, export, compliance or risk management.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Ability to research, think critically and analyze complex materials.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and a team-first approach.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage a workload with multiple projects and stakeholdersx
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to do detailed and accurate work, work independently and adhere to organizational deadlines.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated success in creating, implementing, managing, and improving Corporate Compliance programs.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • History of being solutions orientated.
