Hair Stylist 
Summary/Objective 
The hair stylist’s position serves customers by preparing, conditioning and styling for the Sweetest Little Salon.

Essential Functions

• Prepares hair for styling by analyzing hair condition
• Maintains quality service by following the Sweetest Little Salon standards
• Conditions hair and scalp by applying treatments
• Produces desired effect by arranging, shaping, curling and trimming hair
• Maintains safe and healthy conditions by following the Sweetest Little Salon standards and legal regulations
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
• Assist customers and clients that enter the salon.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional salon environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time or part time position. The hours will vary.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma, GED certificate, some college.
2. Cosmetology license
3. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience
One to five years of salon experience

2 days a week is $100
3 days a week is $150
4 days a week is $200
