Job Description

The eCommerce Associate Creative Director is responsible for the creative direction and execution for one of Industrial Color’s largest ecom production clients. In this role, the ACD will handle all aspects of the ecom creative process, and ensure that the output of work on this account is continually meeting the client’s expectations, creative guidelines and quality. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in on set art direction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and mentor a team of in house creatives, including art directors, photographers and stylists. Ensure resources are properly allocated to the shoot schedule and various project needs. Foster individual and team growth to continually meet client expectations and growing needs of the account.
  • Oversee all creative initiatives including casting, special projects, lighting testing, video, from initial kick off through to execution.
  • Partner with the client to determine how to best represent the wide array of products and multiple brand identities that exist within this account.
  • Recruit and cultivate a team of freelance creatives - be able to provide clear feedback and direction and onboard new team members accordingly.
  • Act as liaison between in house creative team and client; ultimately responsible for the success of the entire creative for this account.
  • Act as on set art director for this account, shooting daily for the sub-brands within this account (Womens, Mens, Kids, Tabletop, etc).
  • Ensure consistency across imagery when required, and alignment to client’s creative guides, while meeting productivity for each shoot day.
  • Continuously review and assess the output of work from the team, identifying areas for further improvement and refinement.
  • Keep up with ecom trends and best practices, and continually brainstorm ways to elevate the creative and streamline the creative process.
  • Participate in the testing of new creative initiatives and approaches that can help enhance the output of images and overall productivity of the account.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as an on set Art Director / Creative Director, with direct experience in ecommerce production (specifically on model photography).
  • Ability to concept and execute against a brand’s vision and lead an on set team / crew.
  • A strong understanding of photography, styling and design.
  • Strong decision making ability and an understanding of when to pivot and try a new approach.
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Possess an inspiring work ethic with the ability to drive themselves to an extreme level of quality, detail and performance.
  • A team player with strong collaborative skills with the ability to work with a diverse group/people.
  • Enthusiastic, positive energy and able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $140,000 - $155,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
