Now expanding through a licensing model, we’re seeking a Director of Licensing to help scale our footprint and empower the next generation of dealmakers.

Role Overview

The Director of Licensing will lead the growth, structuring, and support of Merge’s licensing program. This role is responsible for recruiting high-caliber licensees, onboarding and training them on Merge’s proven playbooks, and ensuring consistency and success across all licensed markets. You’ll work closely with the executive team to shape the future of the licensing model and optimize its value for both licensees and the Merge brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the licensing strategy, including territory structure, economic model, and value proposition.
• Identify, vet, and recruit new licensees, focusing on experienced operators or M&A professionals aligned with Merge’s brand.
• Oversee onboarding and training of licensees on Merge’s process, tools, and tech stack.
• Act as primary liaison between Merge HQ and all licensees, ensuring alignment, performance, and brand integrity.
• Create and manage licensing performance dashboards, KPIs, and growth targets.
• Partner with marketing and partnerships to support lead generation for licensees.
• Continuously optimize the program based on feedback, performance data, and market trends.
• Maintain compliance standards, guidelines, and mediate licensing issues or conflicts.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years in business development, licensing, M&A, franchising, or channel growth
• Proven experience managing partner networks or launching scalable revenue programs
• Strong operator mindset with the ability to build structure and systems from the ground up
• Exceptional communication, training, and relationship management skills
• Entrepreneurial energy with a bias toward execution
