Job Description

As a D365 Sr. Test & Release Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the entire spectrum of Release Management and collaborating closely with both the team, other departments, developers and consultants across different countries.

Your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders will be critical to success in this role. You will use tools like Azure DevOps, Microsoft D365 F&O and CE, and ServiceNow to manage and monitor release activities, making sure all processes are executed efficiently and transparently

You will lead deliveries to the customer and ensure that processes run efficiently and contribute to our overall success. At the same time, you are expected to contribute to the development of the team by being a mentor for junior resources and actively supporting them in their career development.

Note: This is a remote opportunity but must be based in the United States. #LI-Remote.

Position Responsibilities:

Release Management:

  • Lead the release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases.
  • Collaborate with development, test, and operations teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring smooth and timely releases.
  • Plan the release calendar and coordinate across functions at each stage of the release cycle.
  • Continuously improving release processes is important and can be done by incorporating best practices and industry standards.
  • Communicate release plans, delays, failures, and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Test Management:

  • Lead end-to-end testing activities for ERP system implementation.
  • Define project testing scope, goals, and deliverables that support quality goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale test strategies and plans and associate communications documents.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve testing goals.
  • Set and continually manage Testing expectations with team members and other stakeholders and identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule testing timelines and milestones using appropriate Test Management tools; manage test environments and test data.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Implement quality assurance procedures.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Ideal Candidate:

  • 7+ years of experience in the role of Release & Test Manager with experience in quality assurance within IT.
  • 7+ years of test management experience within Microsoft Dynamics, preferably within a consultancy practice.
  • D365 F&O and CRM experience; in-depth understanding of the ecosystem of both F&O and CE, including their integration points (Dual write, preferred).
  • Understanding of Power Platform and its integration with both F&O and CE
  • Strong understanding of release management and testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of deployment processes and environments.
  • Expertise in in Azure DevOps for release pipelines, build automation, and code management.
  • Experience with branching strategies, version control, and continuous. integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Ability to automate deployment processes using tools and scripting; knowledge of deployment packages and configuration management.
  • Experienced in data migrations.
  • Proficiency in using LCS for environment management, deployment, and monitoring
  • Ability to plan and coordinate complex releases and project across teams and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with developers, testers, business stakeholders, and management; meeting expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skill with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the release process.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to travel 10% or more as required.

  • Quality Assurance additional certifications
  • Automation testing tool experience
  • Dynamics Certifications are highly desirable
