Job Title: Chief Engineer Location: Westbury, NY Zip Code: 11590 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Direct Hire Salary Expectations: $150,000 - 165,000 Work Hours: M-F 7:00-4:00pm Chief Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Directs all Design Engineering Department activities and coordinates various engineering support functions.
• Implements department and personnel goals to support company and upper management long-term direction.
• Reviews, provides feedback, and approves all new designs down to the piece part level.
• Establishes and implements systems and procedures to accomplish Design Engineering Department functions.
• Provides signature authority for all formally released items such as drawings, documents, test procedures etc.
• Allocates engineering design manpower.
• Responsible for training and skill development of Design Engineering personnel.
• Responsible for configuration management as it relates to Design Engineering.
• Prepares performance reviews and yearly goals for engineering personnel.
• Reviews need for capital expenditures in Design Engineering and makes recommendations.
• Develops non-recurring engineering estimates (NRE) for new business activities as assigned.
• Develops conceptual designs for proposals and directs technical proposal development.
• Implements concurrent engineering objectives for new product development.
• Participates in bid/no-bid and cost estimating efforts.
• Provides technical support and direction for qualification test efforts.
• Provides technical support and direction for fielded product related issues.
• Provides technical support and direction for nonconforming material review.

Chief Engineer Job Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering degree required, graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum ten years" experience as hydraulic design engineer and background in conceptual design and development
• Applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
