Job Description

Carpet Cleaning Technician – Sioux Falls

Purpose : Promote business growth and customer satisfaction by excelling in the completion of high quality and timely cleaning projects. Responsible for cleaning carpet, upholstery, area rugs, and tile and in both residential and commercial properties.

Essential Functions:

Meeting with customers to discuss their cleaning needs
Assessing the state of the floors and carpets that need to be cleaned
Applying stain and pre-cleaning treatments to the carpets and floors
Cleaning carpets and floors using both equipment and hand-washing techniques
Setting up equipment for drying carpets
Up-selling cleaning services and company products and services
Handling payments
Providing a great customer experience
Cross-train to assist with other departments such as water mitigation

Actively follow and support the Mission of Intek, its policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education:

High School Graduate or GED Required
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record Required
Ability to pass a background check Required

Physical Demands

Ability to occasionally bend, climb or balance, kneel, stoop, walk, or push and pull objects
Ability to lift up to 25lbs, and occasionally 100lbs, to perform job functions
Ability to work in a variety of environments, conditions, and temperatures including both in the office and in the field
