Department of Psychological Science
Central Connecticut State University invites applications to join the Department of Psychological Science as a full-time Assistant Professor, beginning Academic Year 2026-2027. Although the area of specialization is open, we seek candidates who have expertise and strong interest in teaching statistics and research methods and mentoring students in research at the undergraduate and graduate (MA) levels. Successful candidates should also be prepared to teach undergraduate introductory courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Lifespan Development) or other courses aligned with their specialization. The regular teaching load is 12 hours per semester with some evening classes required. We allow academic freedom in the applicant’s choice of psychological research. We offer mentoring and an attainable track to receiving tenure.

Position Profile

Compensation and Employee Benefits
In accordance with the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for this position is at the rank of Assistant Professor for 2025-2026.
