Assistant Project Manager – Multi-Family Construction

Location - Washington, DC Metro

Our client, a DC-based General Contractor with deep expertise in multi-family projects, historic conversions, full gut renovations, interiors, and ground-up construction, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their high-performing team. With projects ranging from $10M to $40M+, this is a chance to grow your career with one of the area's top builders—recognized for both technical excellence and team culture.

What You’ll Do:

• Support project management team in preconstruction and construction phases
• Review drawings and specs to fully understand scope and intent
• Prepare and manage submittal logs, RFI logs, and permit tracking
• Assist with subcontractor buyouts, scope reviews, and evaluations
• Coordinate project schedules and mobilization efforts
• Help manage punch list distribution and closeout documentation
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• 2–7 years of GC experience on multi-family, renovation, or urban infill projects
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
• Team-first mindset with a desire to grow into a Project Manager role
