Job Description

As an Account Manager, you will focus on managing and expanding our existing relationships with key customers. Your role is essential to help drive the success of our clients, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to enhance our partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of our customers' business needs, a consultative approach to foster collaboration, and a proactive mindset to introduce new programs that add value and support customer goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building strong, trusted relationships by understanding their business needs, goals, and challenges. Regularly engage with customer stakeholders to foster a partnership built on mutual success.
  • Account Growth & Development: Identify, propose, and manage new programs and opportunities within existing accounts to expand our business relationship and support customer objectives. Align these programs with the customer’s strategic goals, demonstrating how our solutions contribute to their success.
  • Strategic Planning & Analysis: Conduct regular account reviews, assessing the current performance of our solutions, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing growth strategies tailored to each account. Leverage insights to create account plans that maximize revenue and strengthen customer loyalty.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, engineering, and production, to ensure customer requirements are met, and any issues are resolved quickly. Act as the voice of the customer within our organization, ensuring our solutions align with their needs.
  • Project Management: Oversee the implementation of new projects or programs within key accounts, coordinating resources and timelines to ensure successful execution. Communicate project status updates and any relevant changes to all stakeholders.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and report on account performance, identifying trends and forecasting potential growth opportunities. Provide regular updates to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and strategies to strengthen relationships and drive customer success.
  • Customer Advocacy: Proactively seek customer feedback to understand satisfaction levels, areas of improvement, and unmet needs. Advocate for changes or enhancements that can improve the customer experience, ensuring we deliver value consistently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in account management within the manufacturing industry (Aerospace and Defense Industries are preferred).
  • Proven experience managing accounts, with a track record of growing customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive projects from start to finish
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
