About the Role

We are seeking an  Instructional Lead with expertise in Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD)AND/OR Project-Based Learning (PBL) to guide our students in personalized academic growth. This role blends one-on-one and small group instruction with team collaboration, leadership, and the opportunity to innovate. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and other educators to create meaningful learning experiences and foster a supportive learning community.

What You'll Do

Instruction & Progress Monitoring

  • Design and deliver customized, multi-sensory lessons based on each student’s needs, goals, and learning profile.
  • Develop both in-class and at-home practice routines to promote skill retention and independence.
  • Use data and observation to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Submit concise weekly reports to the Head of School with student updates, family notes, and recommendations.

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with the Head of School, SEL team, and other instructional leads to ensure alignment between academic goals and emotional/behavioral supports.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to support learning and project-based education.

Learning Environment & Culture

  • Maintain a calm, structured, and engaging classroom space.
  • Help organize and participate in events like  Exhibition Day , where students present and celebrate their learning journeys.
  • Contribute positively to school culture and support your fellow educators.

  • Students are making meaningful academic growth through joyful, affirming instruction.
  • Families feel informed, supported, and engaged.
  • You're seen as a go-to resource on the team—someone who leads with expertise, care, and collaboration.
  • You help shape a learning environment where neurodiverse students feel seen, heard, and valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field (required)
  • Experience working with students with specific learning disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of individualized instruction, multi-sensory learning approaches, project-based learning (PBL)
  • Passion for whole-child education and collaboration with cross-functional teams
